Ikat is a handloomed fabric indigenous to Bali.  It can be patterned or plain.  The main point is that the cottons they use to weave with are two complementing colours running in different directions according to the warp and the weft.  The result is this beautiful”shot” or “rainbow” effect.

All beading should be treated with respect as it is sewn on by hand.  However we endeavour to use the strongest of threads, as appropriate, and sew them on in a quality fashion.  This means that beads are knotted between every second one.  The result is that if your beading was tugged or damaged in any way the whole string of beads would not  fall off.
